ECECC knows that it is difficult to find the right resources and helpful agencies that are geared toward Elbert County Early Childhood, child care, parents and families. If you don’t find the resources you are looking for, or have questions, please contact us and we will be happy to help you!
Baby Bear Hugs is a universal voluntary program that offers parenting support, education, and connection to community resources to families with children prenatally and until the child is 3 years-old through one-on-one support.
A visit will include parenting and child development information, and community resources that may be valuable to parents.

Nurse-Family Partnership is a FREE program for women who are having their first baby. A registered nurse will visit you in your home throughout pregnancy and continue to support you until your baby is 2 years old. IT IS FREE! Child Care Resource & Referral Agencies (CCR&R)
Qualistar Early Learning is the child care resource and referral network for the state of Colorado. The network consists of 17 agencies throughout the state that assists parents, child care providers, and their local communities.
Child Care Resource and Referral agencies provide guidance by phone, through workshops, newsletters, and in person giving parents:
- Referrals to local child care providers
- Access to information about location. Qualistar Ratings, costs, hours of operation, and care philosophies.
- Information on state licensing requirements
- Availability of child care subsidies

The mission of PEAK Parent Center is to provide training, information and technical assistance to equip families of children birth through twenty-six including all disability conditions with strategies to advocate successfully for their children. As a result of PEAK’s services to families and professionals, children and adults with disabilities will live rich, active lives participating as full members of their schools and communities.
Parent to Parent of Colorado
We offer encouragement to each other on the journey of parenting our sons and daughters with disabilities or special health care needs. We do this by providing emotional and informational support, resources and by matching parents seeking support with a support parent.
